Coral Cutie

Wow...it's been some months eh?
Here's to getting back to blogging because I've been feeling pretty inspired lately :-)

 Outfit
Coral Blouse- I.N. San Francisco
Jeans - Levi's (boot cut)
Shoes - Jessica Simpson Wedges
Bracelets - Generic Wood bangles
Earrings - Rue21

So I went to Dillard's three weeks ago to check out their clearance (aka my BFF) because they had a great sale - 40% additional red tag items - going on for only the weekend. I didn't intend to shop (much), but somehow I ended up with an outfit and two pairs of shoes for under $115!
Shout out to Alicia, my sister & cousin's friend aka cousin for helping me out!

I found these really cute Jessica Simpson wedges (I bought the leather ones, the link shows the suede shoes) that I could NOT pass over:

I mean seriously, aren't these so cute!

For the outfit, I found this lovely coral blouse by I.N. San Francisco. I feel in love with the color and it looks great against my complexion.

I also purchased a pair of Levi's (pictured below) that fit so great on me! I love the boot cut fit and feel of the jeans and I think I paid under $20 for them!
Insane, but you have to love a good sale, right?!

The whole outfit together!

And VOILA!
I wore the outfit to my cousin's baby shower and I received tons of compliments!
I'm definitely loving these wedges and this top (I'm trying to incorporate more color and patterns in my wardrobe).

A work in progress for sure!

Hope you all enjoy the start of this week and thanks for reading!

Sex and the City Bridal Shower

So my big cousin is getting married this month!

So excited for her and happy I am a bridesmaid!
It's March so it sucks weather-wise but we weren't going to let 30 degree weather get us down lol

She wanted a Sex and the City theme so we did what we could and with the help of Pinterest, we had a great day. We held her shower at a community center to cut down on building costs and the space would out really well!

So the theme was "Sex and the City" so we decided on a zebra print and pink color scheme for decorations.

We went to our local Party1/Party City to get decorations and Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, and Wal-Mart for decor items (paper plates, tablecloths, forks, pink Champlain glasses, etc).

I decorated the sign in table so I decided on a zebra table cloth with touches of pink. I bought a memo board from Kirkland's and printed about 8 pictures to put on the board. It was a nice surprise for the bride and everyone really liked it.

Next my favorite part...the Food! lol

Every bridesmaid brought a dish which I liked because there was variety for the guests. We had chicken wings, cut sandwiches, cookies & brownies (which were so good!), meatballs, & Rotel dip (Uh-mazing). We also had a lovely fruit tray that my mother made along with cream cheese frosting for the cake!

And speaking of Cream cheese frosting...

I must give many thanks to Pinterest and mrsjsteed's amazing cupcake cake pin that I found on there. The tutorial was easy to follow and even though mine isn't as amazing as yours, I'd like to think my mother and I did a great successful attempt! Check out the tutorial - Bridal Shower pull-apart cupcake cake.

And the C and R cupcakes stand for the Soon-to-be Candice Reed! I bought the wrappers from Hobby Lobby and made a variety of chocolate, strawberry, and yellow cupcakes!

To go with the Sex and the City theme, the bride to be decided to have a little show! Instead of a fashion show, we had the "Baddest Heels in Clarksville." Those who had heels got to model them on the stage and my cousin Curtis was the judge.

Notice the shoes in the middle...yeah she decided to jump in with her "heels" on or Skippies as my aunt calls them lol

We had a first, second, and third place for the Baddest Heels Show.
Thanks ladies!

It was a great shower that I know the bride and guests enjoyed very much. I just wanted to especially thank the Maid of Honor who put the bridal shower together!

We had a wonderful time and I think all the ladies (plus 2 guys) enjoyed themselves!

Thanks for reading!

Finally!

Oh Snap! Finally I got off my lazy butt and created a blog!

Hello world. CC here finally with a blog of my own!
I had a LiveJournal (I...think I still do?!) awhile back because I love to write but somehow my school work and business schedule got in the way. Now I'm hoping I can get back into the swing of things and start posting at least once a week

Now I did say hope...I'm a tad bit forgetful most of the time!

Anyone who is reading...thanks for stopping by!
I'll be posting probably post random stuff like my seemingly never-ending search for a legit job (lol), wedding stuff, random shots, and whatever I feel like so get ready!
